How should I clean my glasses?

How to Clean Your ThinOptics Readers or Reading Glasses

Whether you’re using our full-frame Reading Glasses or our classic, frameless Headline Readers in the pince-nez style, the cleaning steps are the same.

To help keep your ThinOptics glasses in great shape, just follow this easy cleaning guide:

1. Wash your hands first
   Before touching your glasses, wash your hands with warm water and soap to remove any dirt or oils.

2. Rinse your glasses
   Hold your glasses under lukewarm running water to remove dust or particles that might scratch the lenses.

3. Use a gentle soap
   Apply a small amount of mild, non-abrasive soap to your fingers and gently rub each lens in a circular motion.

4. Wash off all the soap
   Make sure to rinse off all the soap from both the lenses and the frames.

5. Let them air dry
   Gently shake off extra water and leave your glasses to air dry. Avoid wiping them with things like paper towels, clothing, or tissues—they might scratch the lenses.

6. Store them safely
   Once dry, place your glasses back in their case to keep them protected and clean.

Important Tips:

• Avoid drying your glasses with towels, clothes, tissues, or even soft cloths—because rubbing the lenses can also cause scratches.

• We recommend using only water and your clean fingers for everyday cleaning.
